Abstrak
Buku tamu dibutuhkan oleh setiap instansi termasuk AMIK Taruna. Pencatatan data pengunjung menjadi bagian penting dalam menunjang layanan administrasi kampus. Saat ini, pencatatan tamu di AMIK Taruna menggunakan dua metode yaitu Google Form untuk alumni dan buku tamu fisik untuk tamu umum. Meskipun Google Form telah membantu dalam digitalisasi, sistem ini masih memiliki keterbatasan dalam hal pelaporan dan pengelolaan data. Sementara itu, pencatatan manual untuk tamu umum berisiko kehilangan data dan menghambat efisiensi pencarian serta pelaporan. Untuk itu, dikembangkan sistem informasi buku tamu berbasis web yang memungkinkan tamu mengisi data secara mandiri dan langsung tersimpan dalam database internal, sehingga mempermudah pengelolaan data dan laporan oleh admin. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Pengembangan sistem menggunakan pendekatan System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) dengan metode Waterfall, melalui tahapan Requirement, Design, Implementation, Integration dan Testing, serta Operation dan Maintenance. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi buku tamu berbasis web yang dirancang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pencatatan dan pengelolaan data kunjungan, mempermudah pengelolaan laporan oleh admin, serta memudahkan pencarian informasi oleh kepala bagian dan direktur.
Abstract
A guest book is essential for every institution, including AMIK Taruna. Recording visitor data is an important part of supporting campus administrative services. Currently, guest registration at AMIK Taruna uses two methods: Google Forms for alumni and a physical guest book for general visitors. Although Google Forms has facilitated digitalization, this system still has limitations in reporting and data management. Meanwhile, manual recording for general visitors risks data loss and hinders efficient searching and reporting. Therefore, a web-based guest book information system was developed, allowing visitors to enter their data independently, which is then directly stored in an internal database. This system simplifies data management and reporting for the administrators. The research methodology includes data collection through observation, interviews, and literature review. System development follows the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach using the Waterfall method, consisting of the phases: Requirement, Design, Implementation, Integration and Testing, and Operation and Maintenance. The research results indicate that the designed web-based guest book information system can improve the efficiency of recording and managing visit data, facilitate report management by administrators, and ease information retrieval by department heads and the director.
